  What We Do
Provide quality music lessons in student homes.

Work with appropriate repertoire to advance the student's ability & knowledge.​

Encourage ongoing discussion between the student, parent & teacher.


Lesson Preparation

Ensure your emailed invoice has been paid to secure your lesson booking.

Ensure the student's sheet music is organised & quickly accessible (eg: plastic-sleeve folder)

Ensure the student has a Practice Diary for weekly comments on progress & practice.

Ensure the student is ready for the lesson when the teacher arrives.

Ensure the learning area is prepared.

Ensure the learning area is quiet & not interrupted.

​Ensure that family pets (eg: dogs) are not able to interact with the teacher.

A parent or guardian must be home at all times while the lesson is in progress.


Lesson Payment

​​​​​​Payment by Credit Card is required before the 1st lesson of the month for the number anticipated lessons in that month. This secures your booking. You will usually receive an email with an Invoice (created by Square, our payment provider) prior to the 1st lesson of the month. Your scheduled lessons will not occur until payment has been made otherwise your "slot" may be filled with another Client requesting that day/time. Paid lessons not received due to a cancellation, in line with policy, in that month will be credited to the following months account.   


​Cancellation / Reschedule

Notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson which has been paid for in advance,  due to sickness, an unforeseen event or change in schedule, is to be received by the Teacher no later than 9.00am on the day of the lesson otherwise the lesson will be charged. No credits will be applied.


Where "back-to-back" lessons have been purchased, if one of the lessons in the "back-to-back" package is cancelled due to sickness, an unforeseen event or change in schedule, and notice has been received by the Teacher no later than the applicable time on the day of the lesson, the lesson being conducted in the "back-to-back" package will be charged at the higher rate for that lesson and you will be invoiced for that higher rate lesson on your next months invoice. You will receive a full credit for the unused "back-to"back" lesson.


Refunds

If a refund is required for lessons which have been paid for in advance, and in line with the cancellation/reschedule policy, the refund must be requested in the same calendar month as your last payment to Pinkys Piano. Refund requests in a different calendar month are not possible and the amount is forfeited to Pinkys Piano.
